These are fantastic as a small snack after a meal and perfect to make for some friends. With the added nutrition of Coconut Oil, Hempseeds, and Chia Seeds these are more than just a tasty snack! Keep us informed of your cooking creations by joining the Nutiva Recipe Club.
Ingredients:
1 cup Almond Butter (I made my own using 2 cups soaked and dehydrated almonds, and processed in the food processor for 15 minutes).
¼ cup Dates (add more if you need it to be more sticky, or use 1-2 tbs raw honey)
1 tbs Nutiva Coconut Oil
1 tsp Cinnamon
¼ cup Raw Cacao (use Carob if you prefer, Cacao is a stimulant)
pinch of Sea Salt
2 tbs Flax Seeds, ground
1 tbs Nutiva Hempseeds, optionally ground
1 tbs Spirulina (optional)
1 tbs Nutiva Chia Seeds, ground (optional)
¼ cup Goji Berries (optional)
1/4 cup Cacao Nibs (optional)
Directions:
1. Mix everything in a food processor
2. Form into balls and keep them in the freezer (ground flax can go rancid at room temperature in as little as one week… )
Bite-sized healthy treats! Enjoy!
