Coconut Strawberry Smoothie

This is a mouthwatering smoothie recipe from our Nutiva Chef, Evan Rilling!  How could you resist a smoothie filled to the brim with Hempseeds, Coconut Manna, and Coconut Oil?!  I know I couldn’t!

Ingredients:

A.
4 Cups of Water
¼ Cup of Nutiva Hempseeds
3 Tablespoons Nutiva Coconut Manna
2 Tablespoons Nutiva Coconut Oil
3 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
5 Tablespoons Raw (unheated) Honey
¼ teaspoon Celtic Sea Salt

B.
24oz Frozen Strawberries
2 Frozen Bananas

C.
1/3 Cup of Raw Shredded Coconut (optional)

(Makes 8 cups)

Directions:

For all of my recipes I use as much organic and local ingredients as possible.  I love to get strawberries from my garden or the farmers market and freeze them for this recipe.  When buying honey look for unheated non pasteurized honey.  Often honeys that say they are raw are still heated.  When honey is heated it looses its high enzyme content, which is very healing.  I also like to add a bit of local bee pollen for its high protein and mineral content.

1. In a Vita-Mix or high-speed blender, blend the ingredients from list A to a smooth creamy consistency.

2. Add the ingredients from list B and pulse on high until smooth.

3. The shredded coconut can be added in at the end or used to top each drink.
