“I long for the day when real science trumps politics. Yes, coconut oil is almost entirely saturated fat, but that saturated fat is mainly made up of medium-chain triglycerides(MCTs). These MCTs are more easily metabolized by the body and are even used in infant formulas. Consuming MCTs can help raise HDL – we all agree that’s a good thing.
Do your research and don’t fall for the con-job being pulled against saturated fats – especially coconut oil!
