Healthy yes, but also DELICIOUS!
Nutiva Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
After trying the coconut oil, I don’t think I will ever go back to using butter. It is such a versatile oil. I love it on english muffins and it is really delicious in mashed sweet potatoes! AND you can put in on your body as a moisturizer that smells great and it all natural. I am hooked.

The Best!
Nutiva Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
I use this product on my body and hair. IT IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!!!! It moisturizes like no other. I use it on my hair as a light deep conditioner. I put it on my hair before I wash my hair like a hot oil treatment. I just let it marinate in my scalp and stuff. and then i wash my hair. It leaves it soooo soft and it even de-tangles!!! And it leaves my hair feeling strong and it is growing, but be careful if you use too much on your hair it will become very greasy and heavy. You only need a tad.
Okay next, I use it on my skin! I wash my face and i put it on my face afterwards. It leaves my face feeling extremely soft, clean and moisturized. also, it doesn’t clog my pores. And once or twice a week I will do a soothing bath with the coconut oil. A warm bath mixed with the oil, is soooo heavenly. Lol. Also use it when i shower too. It leaves my skin feeling soooo soft, like i have eczema and it doesn’t irritate it at all. My skin loves this stuff. it melts fast and the smell will takes some getting used to. I haven’t tried cooking with it yet because I really just wanted to use it on my skin cause I have extremely sensitive skin and eczema and I needed something pure and organic, and honestly, I can see my skin clearing up. My eczema is less itchy and actually looks better and is under control. Coconut oil is so vital to my everyday skin care regimen. Best thing ever.

Coconut Oil has long been the subject of conspiracy theories.
Turns out this is true, as well, for coconut oil. Something along the lines if coconut oil is such an amazing product, how come it is not more popular? The conspiracy theory is that U.S. agribusiness has put the kibosh on coconut oil because it is not a domestic crop and would compete with soybean-based oil, which is. And it is the partially hydrogenated soy bean oil’s trans fats – once touted as a healthy option – that are now under the gun.
We’re thrilled to see Virgin Coconut Oil finally starting to gain the widespread recognition and praise it deserves.
Check out this article from (surprised, Coconut Fans?) non other than Dr. Oz’s Blog.
Dr. Oz has come out in the past against Coconut Oil, and we’re happy to see him singing a new Coconut Oil tune, buy posting this article on his blog. It looks as though even anti-coconut folks are opening up.
Overall not a bad piece but the author does confuse Omega-6 being in Coconut Oil (very micro amounts of omega-6).
Folks, we all make mistakes and overall Dr. Oz has done a good job in promoting increased consumption of fresh fruits and veggies. Plus Dr Oz is a big fan of hemp so.. A tip o’ the hat for what he does well.
Way to go!
~ Enjoy!

I love to cook. Yet much of my domestic culinary life has been shadowed by my obsession to remove unhealthy saturated fats from my family’s diet. After all, isn’t it a given that fat is bad for you? And haven’t I struggled with my weight, my heart health and my love of a good French fry?
As a dermatologist, I’ve taken comfort in the knowledge that many of those good-for-us unsaturated fats also have healthy skin benefits. The omega-3s from sources like fish, walnuts and olive and canola oils work to keep skin less eczema-prone, and reduces dryness and sensitivity. Hair looks lustrous and becomes less brittle while nails get stronger.
Yet I have avoided one of my favorite food sources due to my concern that it was high in “bad” fat. Warned about the high levels of saturated fat found in coconut oils, I sadly said goodbye to coconut milk-based sauces, macaroons, piña coladas and Mounds bars. My palate protested the unfairness of a plant saturated with saturated fat! [click to continue…]
If you read no other review READ MINE.
I am a 34 year old self-employed business-owner with a 20-month old baby. I was a marathon runner until I had my first (and only) baby at 32 years old and after he was born, I was diagnosted with hypothyroidism. My TSH was 10.3. I ended up in the ER 2 times in the last 12 months due to being unable to regulate my med’s.
I went to a specialist and was on 27 pills a day (mostly suppliments). I heard about coconut oil and decided I had NOTHING to lose. I was already considering shutting down my business because I had no energy to run it. I have the most severe case of thyroid problems I have ever heard about and by adding one tablespoon of coconut oil to a hemp protein shake in the morning, I am practically healed.
I have done this protien shake for 5 weeks and I am almost back to myself. EVERYONE has noticed the change. I took my little boy to the zoo 2 days ago and walked around for 3 hours. If you have thyoid problems, you know hwo miraculous this is. I am sleeping through the night again and I am thinking about exercising again. I am still a little apprehensive about running- I have been unable to run for soooo long now. But that is my next major goal.
You HAVE to try this. I have told everyone I know with thyroid problems. Truthfully, I would have eaten lard if I thought it would make be better; that is how discouraged and desparate I was to get my life back. This is sooo easy and worth ever penney. And if you melt it, you will barely notice the flavor in your shake.
I use it to cook now- Anytime my recipe calls for olive oil; I use coconut oil. I hope my testimony inspires you. God made food great all by itself and we have added so much garbage to our diets. I am getting back to the basics now.

I just bought this wonderful Nutiva coconut oil after hearing Dr. Jonny Bowden talk about coconut oil and all the benifits it contains. This has got to be the most delectable on the planet it smells like heaven and tastes sooooo good. I bake and cook with it, and after reading all the rave reviews about it being used as butter and on the hair and skin I will never buy anything but this again. Bye Bye Crisco, hello Nutiva.
