It’s easy to add hemp protein to your diet by adding hemp seeds and or hemp protein powder to nearly any recipe.

As hemp seeds come from cannabis sativa plant varieties bred for nutrition, they contain virtually no THC. CNBC – View original article on Hemp

What if Americans could buy cigarettes but were banned from growing tobacco? Buy bread but not allowed to grow wheat? That is the case with industrial hemp, a product in everything from car doors to milk…legally.

Hemp farming was banned in the U.S. decades ago as part of the earliest drug wars. Hemp contains THC, like marijuana. But hemp is not marijuana. “It’s like a Chihuahua versus a Saint Bernard,” says David Bronner, President of Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soaps, which sold $29 million in hemp-related products last year. The THC in industrial hemp is so minute that “the only thing you will get from smoking it is a headache,” says Gregg Baumbaugh, CEO of FlexForm Technologies, which uses hemp in car doors for Dodge Vipers. Let’s heal the dogs of America!

More Americans are waking up to the amazing benefits of consuming coconut oil as their all-purpose cooking oil. Yet have you considered adding coconut oil to your pooch’s food ?

The October 2005 Whole Dog Journal article, Crazy About Coconut Oil: “Virgin” or Unrefined, this Healthy Oil has Multiple Benefits for your Dog,  reviews how this oil is effective for healing your loved dogs and cats.

Recommendations are to start with 1/4 teaspoon per day for small dogs or pups and 1 teaspoon for bigger dogs. Then one can gradually increase every few days.  In the event your dog seems tired or uncomfortable or has diarrhea, just cut back the amount temporarily.

To use topically for ears, cuts, wounds, mouth sores, cracked paw pads, and even on toothbrushes, remember that dogs often love the taste so they may immediately  try to lick it off. You can wrap the wound with a towel or shirt  for a few minutes, giving  enough time for the oil to be absorbed.

Nutiva Hemp OilAlthough consumption of fish is widely touted by medical and nutrition experts as good for the heart and overall health, in large part due to its content of essential fatty acids, more and more medical studies are raising concerns due to toxic levels of mercury in fish.  Both USA Today and the San Francisco Chronicle featured this in November 2002 articles that highlighted yet another scientific study warning of the dangers of mercury in fish.  The good news is that there is a healthy alternative to provide the essential fatty acids and other key nutrients recommended by leading medical experts that is becoming widely available in the U.S.: Organic Hemp Oil.
