The Biotech Bully from St Louis does not like Vermont’s legislative bill H. 722, a consumer’s right to know bill. Read the article below and learn how Mansanto is handling this affront to their GMO agenda.

When Judge Naomi Buchwald dismissed OSGATA et al vs. Monsanto last month, it was on the basis that she did not think the corporation had any interest in suing the organic growers and trade organizations that took the case to court. But as it turns out, their fears of a lawsuit-happy Monsanto are somewhat justified. According to reports, the biotech behemoth has threatened to sue the state of Vermont if it presses ahead with the signing of the Vermont Right to Know Genetically Engineered Food Act (H. 722), a bill that would make Vermont the first of the United States to require labeling of genetically engineered food. I just bought this wonderful Nutiva coconut oil after hearing Dr. Jonny Bowden talk about coconut oil and all the benifits it contains. This has got to be the most delectable on the planet it smells like heaven and tastes sooooo good. I bake and cook with it, and after reading all the rave reviews about it being used as butter and on the hair and skin I will never buy anything but this again. Bye Bye Crisco, hello Nutiva.

After two weeks of taking coconut oil, Steve Newport’s results in an early onset Alzheimer’s test gradually improved says his wife, Dr. Mary Newport. Before treatment, Steve could barely remember how to draw a clock. Two weeks after adding coconut oil to his diet, his drawing improved. After 37 days, Steve’s drawing gained even more clarity. The oil seemed to “lift the fog,” his wife says.

09This article was too interesting to pass up, and comes to us via one of our FaceBook friends.  Originally posted on TampaBay.com, Eve Hosley-Moore writes about an ordinary couple experiencing extraordinary health results by using Coconut Oil to treat Alzheimer’s symptoms.  You might want to pass this one on to your friends.

Here’s an excerpt from the story.  You can continue reading by clicking on the link at the bottom.

The only thing that kept Dr. Mary Newport positive in the face of her husband’s early onset Alzheimer’s disease was that he didn’t seem aware of how much ground he was losing.

“He didn’t know the full ramifications of his decline — I hate to say it but that was the only blessing. I was watching my husband of 36 years simply fade away,” said Dr. Newport, 56, a neonatologist and medical director of the newborn intensive care unit at Spring Hill Regional Hospital.

An accountant, Steve Newport left his corporate job the day his first daughter was born, allowing his wife to finish her medical training. As time went on, he worked from home, keeping the books for her neonatology practice and taking care of their two daughters, now age 22 and 26.

About six years ago, Newport began struggling with daily tasks. He took longer to complete the business’ payroll and was making more mistakes.

“I didn’t know what was happening to me. I was confused,” Newport said of his prediagnosis days.

“There were big clues, and I knew that something was going on here,” Dr. Newport said.

They saw his primary care physician, who referred him to a specialist. The diagnosis of early onset Alzheimer’s was a devastating blow. According to the National Institutes of Health, as many as 4.5-million Americans have Alzheimer’s. Early onset Alzheimer’s strikes people age 30 to 60 and is rare, affecting only about 5 percent to 10 percent of those with Alzheimer’s.

While there is no way to confirm an Alzheimer’s diagnosis, Newport tested positive for the genetic marker that puts a person at higher risk for early onset Alzheimer’s.

He was put on several FDA-approved medicines to help slow the progression of the disease, but he continued to decline. In August of last year, Dr. Newport said, her husband underwent a “drastic change,” losing more than 10 pounds.

“He had completely lost interest in eating, and that was not a good sign,” she said. He also abandoned the kayaking and gardening he loved so much.

From NaturalNews.com

(NaturalNews) Sorting through fact and fiction when it comes to weight loss is a tough order, especially when fad diets spring to life and wither away all in the same season. Many claims have been made about coconut oil and weight loss, but a number of whole food enthusiasts know this one is the real deal. And that’s because coconut oil is more than a weight loss aid: it’s a well-documented health food. Take it from experts like Dr. Bruce Fife and Dr. Mary Enig, both of whom speak volumes about the merits of coconut oil, when they vouch for its credibility. Coconut oil really can help you lost weight, and here’s three reasons why:

#1 Get a Metabolism Boost

Coconut oil is one of the most abundant sources of medium-chain fatty acids, and these nifty little triglycerides can work wonders for a sluggish metabolism. In a study that looked at the effect of medium-chain fatty acids on metabolism, it was found that these fats could increase the metabolic rate by up to 48 percent and for up to 24 hours. If your metabolism has been damaged by dieting or stress, a daily dose of coconut oil can do wonders for getting it back on the right track.

#2 Balance Your Blood Sugar

The profound effect coconut oil seems to have on the metabolism extends to insulin function as well. This may be because coconut oil can supply the body with energy similar to blood glucose, but without having a negative impact on blood sugar and insulin levels. Including coconut oil before or during a meal also lowers the glycemic impact of what you’re eating, which prevents those dreaded blood sugar highs and lows.

This organic coconut oil is a marvelous product with some interesting health benefits (google it up). You can use it in baking, frying, in sauces, for vegan raw pies, mix with chocolate for puddings, moisturize your hair or skin, soothe rough elbows, etc.

This melts really fast in a pan, so you don’t need a high heat. I fry eggs in it, and the coconut taste is subtle. Any ethnic dish that requires sauteeing or saucing and can benefit from a fresh coconut flavor, this is useful. I’ve cooked meats in it, as well. If you hate the smell/taste of coconut, obviously, this is not for you.

This brand, Nutiva, is organic and virgin. It smells so good. And I have an old jar that I never finished (really big one), and nearly two years later, after sitting right by the stove, it still smells fresh, like Cuban coconut candy my mom used to make. Yes, solid and fresh and white and fragrant TWO YEARS LATER. This is a very stable product. NUTIVA makes the best coconut oil I’ve tried.

Larger size a bargain for beautifully fresh smelling, versatile, organic, extra virgin coconut oil–and this is the BEST brand.

I got interested in Coconut Oil after reading Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fallon, a wonderful book. After reviewing a few other brands of CO, I decided on this one. It has been a godsend in every way.

1. Tastes great – I use Nutiva in my day to day cooking. For those worried about the strong coconut taste, I’ve found that if I use it in less stronger flavored foods like toast or oatmeal, the coconut flavor is marked (and delicious in my opinion, but I understand it’s not for everyone.)However, when I use in my regular cooking which is usually with a lot of spices etc. I can’t taste it at all. Also, if you don’t like the taste, you can use it with olive oil (one part olive oil, one part coconut oil) and you’ll still get the benefits of this wonderful oil.

2. Beauty applications – I used Nutiva ONCE in my hair (kept it overnight and washed the next morning) and my previous hair loss was reduced by 50%. Each time I’ve used it, I’ve lost less hair. It also is a marvellous massage oil that leaves your skin looking better than before – probably due to its antibacterial & antifungal properties which work on facial blemishes.

3. Medicinal – I suffer from eczema and I’d grown very very tired of the topical steroid creams not working for me. Not to mention I was worried about how the steroid was being absorbed into my bloodstream too. The last time I had an eczema breakout I applied coconut oil as a trial. Usually it takes me anywhere from 2-6 weeks to completely diffuse the breakout. With the Nutiva CO, it was gone in 2 days. BRILLIANT! My life’s so much easier with this. Also, whenever I’ve had any type of skin breakout, applying Nutiva CO has provided instant and long lasting relief.
