Nutiva is concerned about the impact genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are having on our natural world and human health. Since our inception in 1999, We have a strict non-GMO policy, and we only source non-GMO ingredients.

Nutiva uses the finest certified-organic ingredients, grown without pesticides and herbicides—safer for you and the planet. Our products are certified by Quality Assurance International (QAI). Nutiva obtained the right to use the new USDA Organic Symbol when it became effective in October 2002.

Now we need to hear from YOU!  Please take a moment to tell us where you stand on the matter of Organics.  Don’t worry, this survey is completely confidential, and we’ll still love you no matter what your answer is!

My family and friends all agree organic food taste better and since it taste better—it is better for us but we also believe buying local grown IN SEASON is very important.

Because $$$ is important to my food budget managing our expenditures, my focus and choices have been tremendously influenced by “The Dirty Dozen List and the “Clean 15″ when buying organic PRODUCE. Also, I have three small raised organic garden beds for summer and winter vegetables and my entire yard is pesticide free. To read more about urban sustainable living go to The Daily Green: http://www.thedailygreen.com/healthy-eating/eat-safe/Dirty-Dozen-Foods#ixzz1CuwNBpu4

My purchase of all the following are from certified organically grown farmers: grains, nuts, eggs (which are grown not only organic but free range by a local chicken lady) and occassionaly organic meat.

    Organics=health of people and planet

GMO=the very likely end of organics.

    The battle lines are drawn.

    Organics vs GMO and Monsanto

Home grown organic produce food is the direction I’m moving in. Recently I read that a new artificial sweetener derived from aspartame can be added to organic foods without it being stated on the label. What a battle it is to keep good food on the market. Price is another factor I have to consider. I buy organic as much as I can and locally produced produce and free range eggs from a neighbor.

I would like to know more about aspartame being added to organic food. I haven’t heard of it. I would also like to introduce my new book, “Eden Denied”, about the corporate suppression and takeover of technology, which will be out late February. I will also have the website, hopefully up at the same time. Until then, contact my email address above.

If I can’t find it organtic, I most likly will pick something else to eat. I am aware some things do not have to be, but there are not many! GMO , we avoid compleatly. To me, it could be our distruction!
We love our coconut oil. I have most of my offspring paying attention to my physique, heart numbers, skin and general health. I have 5, My wife has 4. We worry about future food supply. At 75, I think I’m going to be here a lot longer than expected!

Appreciate your committment to organic foods. I’m working with a Farmer’s Market group in NE Arizona to inform people on the importance of organic, chemical free foods. Looking forward to the day when all packaging indicated GMO/Non-GMO. I teach classes to groups so they can identify the beneficial and non-beneficial foods. My theme:
Shopping Safe – Shopping Smart – Living Well

Healthy food is central to life. Can someone like Michael Jacobsen (C.S.P.I.)help in the crusade to accurately label food? I’m very concerned about what feels like a GMO invasion.

  • Denis&Marilyn Hughes

We do our best to buy organic. We also try to encourage our offspring to do the same. We love our coconut oil. I us it for everything. As far as GMO goes, I think it could be the distruction of our food chain.

We have been concerned about GMOs for a long time, and avoid them whenever we see them listed. We try to grow our own garden in the summer, but as yet have to master the winter growing thing here in Utah. I am very impressed with Nutiva’s commitment to organics and will continue to support them by buying from them and telling others about them. I think we should do all in our power to educate those around us about the importance of opposition to this truly evil campaign to remove our food choices and give us only foods that will by necessity create illness that demand allopathic medications, created, without a doubt by those same entities that are controlling the food! As executives at Monsanto declared in written missives, “He who controls the food, controls the world”! (see the very scary, but educative book, According to Monsanto)

Organic is very important to me – by that I mean sustainable, ecological, and high quality – not certified organic. The organic community does not always pay proper attention to the soil mineral balancing that is required for really high quality, high nutrition produce. Follow the link on my home page for ‘Gardening for Maximum Nutrition’ for more about that.

Organic is everything & should be how everything we ingest is grown!

  • Hyacinth

“GMO” is not in my diet . Organic is good for the soul and the environment, let’s continue to fight Monsanto. I am surprised at the Government for siding with him.

Organics is the way living beings were meant to live. We are fighting everyday to change the ignorance and greed sickness that has eroded our earth in the form of pollution and corporate gain above all else. We fight by buying organic, supporting our local organic farmers, and being committed to all causes that link us arm in arm in the forward movement of peace, justice, and organic living!

  • Sarah

In gardening season we grow as much of our food as we can. I buy organically grown produce to supplement what we can’t grow on our own. We raise our own chickens and soon will be beekeepers. I am in three health food co-ops and I buy my coconut oil direct from Nutiva! Organic IS the only way to go and we must spread the word about gmo foods!

  • PJ

We buy as much organic as we can, started and help with a local CSA farm, now in it’s 8th season, grow what we can of our own, avoid chemicals outside, “vote” organic, local, fresh with as much of our food dollars as possible, and send e-mails and calls about GE and small/local/organic farm/markets issues (but no one seems to listening and responses are automatic, machined).
Many more people need to protest the approvals of GE corn, salmon, alfalfa and any other attempts to lock up all the food. These crops, especially, can contaminate and render sterile crops all over the planet. Americans especially need to consider and speak out — Monsanto should never have been permitted to win a court case against the local farmer who’s corn was infected by their patented seed — HE was found guilty!!
