Virgin coconut oil – 15, 29 and 54 oz clear PET bottle. Bulk 1 and 5 gallon sizes also available.
How virgin coconut oil is processed is the key to optimizing its taste, texture, color, and aroma. Nutiva use’s fresh certifed-organic coconuts and the meat is carefully chopped, washed, and then dried. Then the meat is cold-pressed to make the delicious virgin coconut oil.
Contrast this with most of the coconut oil used today in cooking and body care. First, the coconut is chopped and left to dry in the sun for days. Then the meat is scooped out and sent thousands of miles to giant oil mills where the oxidizing coco meat is refined, bleached, and/or deodorized. Ironically, this product is often labeled as “certified organic.”
There is no comparison between Nutiva’s cold-pressed, Organic extra-virgin coconut oil, with its light taste, pleasant aroma, and pure white color, and industrialized coconut oil, with its bland taste, faint aroma, and off-white color. Please note that any tiny brown specks found at the bottom of Nutiva’s Coconut oil are from the coconut fiber and are indigenous to extra-virgin coconut oil.
Coconut oil is about 50 percent lauric acid, a rare medium-chain fatty acid found in mother’s milk that supports healthy metabolism and is now being studied for its anti-fungal, anti-viral, and anti-bacterial health-protecting properties. Overall, coconut oil contains 92% saturated fats, and only 1% Omega-6, the fat Americans get way too much of.

Nutrition Chart and Certified Organic Details
The Health Benefits of Virgin Coconut Oil
Since the 1960s, coconut oil has been unfairly labeled as “unhealthy.” The media reported studies of how tropical coconut oils were laden with artery-clogging saturated fats. What was left out of these reports was the fact that the coconut oil used in the studies was not the virgin oil used for centuries but hydrogenated coconut oil. We have since learned it’s the hydrogenation — artificially adding a hydrogen molecule to oils in order to make them shelf-stable — that’s the problem, not the coconut oil itself. Hydrogenated soy, corn, and canola oils — loaded with dangerous trans-fats and processed with toxic hexane solvents — are routinely added to packaged foods. Hydrogenation fattened corporate profits and American waistlines, and is now linked with trans-fats and associated heart disease.
Baby formulas often include pure coconut oil as an ingredient because coconut is such a healthy super food. Virgin coconut oil is rich in the essential fatty acids, the “good fats” that doctors recommend and is cholesterol – and trans fat-free.
Health Properties of Lauric Acid
One of the “good fats” that makes up about 50% of coconut oil, is lauric acid. Lauric acid is a rare medium-chain fatty acid found in mother’s milk. It is now being shown to have anti-fungal, anti-viral, and anti-bacterial health-protecting properties. Some researchers predict that lauric acid will one day become as well known in health circles as Omega-3 is today.
As studies reveal the downsides of consuming too many Omega-6 vegetable oils with their saturated fatty acids, coconut oil is making a comeback. We suggest consuming 3 tablespoons of extra virgin coconut oil a day.
Hydrogenated Trans Fat or Healing Coconut Oil?
The FDA started requiring the labeling of “trans fats” in 2006, and as a result the entire fat category is undergoing a review of its traditions and assumptions. Hemp and coconut oil products deliver the nourishing “good fats, which can play a vital role in our health. Millions of Americans are questioning the outmoded assumptions regarding “zero fat is good”, “tropical fats are bad,” and “lots of vegetable oils are beneficial”.
The traditional Pacific Islander diet included large quantities of coconut meat and oil, and those who still follow this diet have a low incidence of heart disease or weight issues. When a Western-style diet including vegetable oils replaces their traditional diet, all of the fat-related diseases common in the developed nations such as coronary heart disease begin to appear, their immune systems get weaker and serum cholesterol levels go up.
Besides its nutritional value, pure coconut oil also makes a luscious and soothing massage and body oil for dry and or damaged skin.

| My 5 years old daughter got pink eye back in Feb and I took a cotton ball and put coconut oil over her eye 3 times in one day. Pink eye was gone the next day and haven’t been back since. My 18 months old son tripped over a toy and hitted his front tooth. He developed a black spot in the back of his tooth. I increased the doses of CO 2 tsps and a month later, the black spot is gone! |

| David – David – Cooking in cast iron | 2010-04-02 21:02:02 |
| Does anybody know if this is good for “seasoning” of cast iron cookware. |
| Judy Valente – iron cookware | 2010-06-19 07:03:47 |
| I have read that in I think, an African country, that the people had a higher incidence of metal poisoning. This was because they used iron cookware to prepare their meals. I also remember doing home care, and the husband took the pans outside to ‘sear’ them at around 400 degrees. He knew that if it isn’t properly ‘cured’, then poisoning may occur. Thanks for reading! |
| Pamela B. Maltzman – Seasoning cast iron cookware | 2010-04-30 06:07:30 |
| I’ve seasoned cast iron cookware with coconut oil before; haven’t done it for a while because my oven isn’t working. This is LOTS better than seasoning with vegetable oils such as soybean oil or canola oil. Coconut oil stands up to heat. Good luck. |
| Judy Valente – C.O. stands up to heat | 2010-06-19 07:06:44 |
| I dunno, I have had two ‘flashfires’, as a result of the C.O. catching on fire. Remember that it already melts at room temperature, so it probably has an ignition point at a lower temperature than other oils, except olive oil. Thanks for reading! |
| Carol – Glass Jars & Usage | 2010-03-28 02:37:09 |
| I use our empty raw honey jars. They make great jars for the coconut oil. I just let the bucket sit out where it’s warm and then pour it into the jars. I use the extra virgin coconut oil for every thing that calls for oil or butter. If I am fixing bratwurst (sausages) in the skillet or doing a microwaved yam. We have it every morning in our oatmeal and every night in our swiss miss coco. I tried it on popcorn & loved it. My hubby & I have lost 30 lbs each from using the coconut oil instead of the other bad kinds. We are never hungry & he loves the taste of his german foods. I put it in my hair & on my skin. It is wonderful! We’ve been using it for a year now & will never go back to the other oils. My triple bonus is that I am allergic to olive oil so the coconut oil is number 1 in my book. |

| I just bought some Nutiva today, mainly for my tooth decay and Eczema on my ears. Does anyone have any stories where it helped? I’ve cut out sugar, increased my Calcium and Vitamin D, stopped using “normal” toothpaste…all this week. I’ve read it will clear my Eczema up and stop/prevent my tooth decay, was just wondering if this were true? Thanks |

| Hi Katie, I use coconut oil for EVERYTHING and have had excellent results curbing Psoriasis and tooth decay/infection. This is the first season I can honestly say that I am not plagued with the ugly skin eruptions of Psoriasis. Mind you, I have been fortunate in that it only covered about 20% of my body. Unfortunately, it always started on my neck and the last couple of years began creeping onto my face! I use coconut oil as a moisturizer. Although I would like to take the 2-3 Tablespoon/day as suggested, it isn’t often I have the time. Absorbing it through my skin has been a huge help. There is no cure for Psoriasis, but I have found a pleasant “fix”. I was diagnosed with gum disease and give an antibiotic to clear the infection. It did NOT work. I had an infection for months that I simply could not get rid of. I began oil pulling and within about 4-5 weeks it was gone. I love coconut oil and literally do use it for everything. Moisturizer, toothpaste, hair conditioner (coconut milk), clear nasal passages, and, of course, use it to season and cook . If nothing else, it WON’T hurt you! lol |

| My own skin condition, seborrhea, is evidently difficult to get rid of completely, but was reduced 98% by a 3 week natural body cleanse with whole food supplements, followed by a therapeutic level of juicing of vegetables and fruits, basically daily 2-3 times a day for 2 weeks. Now juicing 3-4 times a week once a day. Bottom line is that doing everything you can to eliminate toxins in your body and then keep them out is the best you can do. |

| Katie, Xylitol is excellent for prevention of tooth decay. Vitamin C will help to heal your teeth and gums, but I don’t know anything that will reverse tooth decay short of a miracle. Check out Sprydental – I use their gum made with xylitol, it’s great! They may offer a toothpaste made with it as well. If they don’t, I know there are other places online that offer xylitol toothpaste. Keep up with the coconut oil, it’s great anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial properties are good not only for your mouth, but your insides as well. God Bless, Lisa |

| Hi Katie, I have used coconut oil now for the last 10 months. I too stopped the sugar about 3 years ago more off sugar than on. I went to the dentist 2 years ago and mainly because of the sugar, which includes all grains, nuts and anything sweet, I didn’t have 1 single cavity, which was a miracle for me. Since starting the coconut oil 10 months ago, my gums have healed resulting in my teeth tightening up just beautifully. There is definitely many benefits using as the main oil in cooking, moisturizing your body plus good supplements. I am better today because I use it as an antifungal to fight back the candida that has caused me health problems for years. Now I have a edge because of the coconut oil and good supplements that I consume everyday. Angie |

| Hi, Katie. I’m going to suggest something that will not make immediate sense. Your teeth will act depending on what diet you were meant for. Let it sink in for a minute. That’s right. If you are a blood type O, then you were meant for meat. If you are a blood type AB, then you were meant for veggies. If you have made a drastic diet choice, then that may be where the decay is coming from. Check out a book at the library called “Eat Right for Your Type”. I’m even staying at my peak weight after weighing so much. |
| Big John – Tooth Decay and Coconut Oil | 2010-02-02 13:50:44 |
| This may sound crazy, but I have no idea what my blood type is!!! I’venot made any drastic diet choices, other than trying to stay away from white flour products and sugar. But I will check the book out, sounds interesting! |

| Hi Katie, Is there a coconut oil toothpaste, or is ingesting the oil what helps with the tooth decay? |
| Katie – Tooth Decay and Coconut Oil | 2010-01-24 16:02:33 |
| Hi Joyce, I’ve been actually rubbing the oil all over my teeth and gums, leaving it there for 10 min., then rinsing and brushing with a herbal toothpaste. I’m sure ingesting helps as well. You can also do “oil pulling” with it. Hope that helps! |

My daughter just started taking a cheaper brand and she says that it is rather difficult to get down due to the texure and the taste. |
| Rose – Nutiva Coconut Oil/Hair Question | 2009-12-18 06:48:14 |
| I just received my anxiously awaited coconut oil, I’ve been doing a lot of research and got really excited as I want to start using it in my hair. Here is my problem the oil I received is in liquid form and the ones that I received looked like a butter consistency, what is the difference please???? |
| Chan – The changing consistency of coconut oil | 2010-01-21 11:10:30 |
| Coconut oil is a tropical oil. It will be solid at 76 and lower. If you want it to thicken just put it in the refrigerator/freezer for 4 minutes |
| Zahara – consistency | 2010-01-20 17:27:47 |
| the good stuff comes in a thicker consistency.. it’s purer.. the liquid is not nearly as healthy/beneficial |
| Kathy – consistency | 2010-01-17 10:21:50 |
| At 76 degrees coconut oil turns to a liquid. Below 76 degrees it turns solid. So in the summer you will have a liquid most of the time while in the winter it will be solid. |

It has made sexual activity much more comfortable for my husband and I. He likes how well it lubricates both of us and stays melted and warm. It’s great for women’s private parts! |

| Just came to this website to get to the bottom of it. I bought it because I thought that “cold-pressed” meant that it was totally raw. I guess it has to actually say “raw” for it to be raw. I hope that the raw version isn’t too much more expensive. |

| I LOVE this product!!!! I have systemic yeast issues for years now and although I can usually (not always) keep it in check with Acidopholus & hydrogen peroxide washes, this has helped tremendously. The anti-fungal, anti parasitic, anti-bacterial properties are a God-send for me!! Systemic yeast shows itself in many ways – not just yeast infections/BV, but skin and sweat gland issues as well. I swear by this stuff. I am still working up to the 3 Tbsp a day. Increase your intake slowly. I did experience a toxic “die off” reaction because I increased my intake too quickly but regardless – it showed me that it WORKS! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS INCREDIBLE PRODUCT! I cannot thank you enough! |

| Hi Shellie, You may have had Candida without even knowing it. We all have Candida Yeast in our bodies but sometimes can get an overload due to stress, poor eating and sleeping habits, etc. I started on the coconut oil due to the Lauric Acid that naturally kills the Candida Yeast cells and, yes, there is a long process of “die off” and as the cells die off they settle in different parts of your body, mostly joints and causes a lot of pain but keep at it! I lost hair, got hives, and high fevers. It took almost 6 months but I’m now a healthy woman, have great energy and my hair and skin are very healthy. MF |

| Hi everyone, just bought my first coconut oil (Nutiva, of course!) and use it for my hair and trying it on my hubby for his psoriasis. What I was wondering is if when you use it for cooking, does it leave a coconut taste to everything? | hey angela. It doesnt leave a coconut taste. there is a very slight coconut aroma only if you are looking for it. I cooked grilled chicken and string beans. I used coconut oil for both rather that using butter and olive oil. I could tastte the slight aroma only because i knew i cooked with it and overly tried to smell it. My sister didnt know the difference even after i told her. You can basically use it for everything. cooking ( you can cook or bake anything with it) moisturizing .. they even recommend you take a tablespoon a day for health benefits. some people even use it as a lubricant. LOL…. I swear i get hungry everytime i put it on my body.. I actually bought another brand.. but they both are ranked pretty well in quality. once i found out all the uses for it i wish i would have bought a gallon |

| Coconut Karl – Great for cooking! | 2009-07-12 12:33:05 |
| I hated the taste of coconut as a child (still don’t like the texture of shredded coconut in ANYTHING). So, I was a bit skeptical about cooking with coconut oil. The first time, there was a definite coconut taste to the food – but it was not bad… just different from the olive oil flavor I was accustomed to. I’ve been using the coconut oil for sauteeing and frying now for a couple of weeks and haven’t felt any need to go back to olive oil. I am really digging the taste! I would suggest you try it… not just once, but in the prep of a 2 or 3 meals. THEN decide (and let your husband decide). You may need a couple of meals to acclimate to the idea, but I think you’ll ultimately like it. |
| Melissa – Love this oil | 2009-03-10 05:08:06 |
| I have tried several different coconut oils and nutiva is by far the best I’ve tasted. The flavor is excellent and has no chemical or bland taste at all. I’ve even tried tropical traditons VCO and used that for a while. Once I tried nutiva I never went back. I even give it to my dogs to help with fleas, worms and infections and they absolutely love it. Plus, the price, especially buying it on the website is unbeatable for the quality. |

| Rick Karsee – Hair moisturizing | 2009-05-12 08:13:44 |
| hi Roxanne, I am a Vidal Sassoon-trained hair stylist and am glad to see that you use the coconut oil for your hair. I give scalp massages and do long hair, so cocounut oil comes in handy to smooth my clients’ hair cuticle and keep it in good condition. Cheap way to keep hair in good shape….I mix jojoba oil and Monoi Oil with the coconut, heat it for a minute and apply it to their hair and scalp, leave in for 1 hour and wash for great results. Regards, Rick |

| Natascha – THE BEST FLAVOR! | 2009-02-25 15:17:16 |
| I had tried many different brands of organic extra virgin coconut oil, and Nutiva is hands down the best flavor. I find other brands “soapy” tasting and smelling, so badly so that I can not even use them on my body, nevermind cook with. Nutiva is the only brand that smells and tastes like fresh coconuts. It’s a clean, pure taste. Thank you for such a wonderful product!! |

| Someone told me it was good to ues if your are dieting! How does that work? |
| Sky – Dieting | 2009-06-21 19:58:24 |
| Kinshasha, I was wondering the same thing, I found a link on this site before the comments. It’s titled Coconut Oil and Weight Loss (http://nutiva.com/about/media/2004_05_25.php) I haven’t read the entire article but it seems to be very informative. I came to this site to learn about it’s benefit in dieting after my mother picked up an article on it at her local health food store. It sounds like there are a lot of benefits aside from dieting, I can’t wait to get some and try it out for myself. |
| Lauren – dieting with coconut oil | 2009-07-30 15:27:35 |
| Kevin Trudeau wrote in his book “More Natural Cures Revealed” that coconut oil is excellent to use for dieting. A spoonful before breakfast and another before dinner helps the body to lose weight, increases metabolism and aids with bowel regularity. I did a Google search and there are lots of sites that say the same thing. My husband needs to lose a few pounds and is on this coconut regime and says he is not as hungry and eats less when he takes the coconut oil before meals. I am doing the same thing, but for my thyroid since it helps those with hypothyroid issues. |
| Qwita – Thyroid and Coconut | 2010-03-02 10:43:11 |
| HI Lauren. Is the coconut oil effective in using it for your thyroid? I have hypothyroidism and I have read that coconut oil helps in increasing your metabolism. Just wondered if it is working for you. I have used it in my hair and it is AMAZING!!!! I am going to use it on my skin as well since I have heard it helps with acne (caused by my thyroid disease), so my fingers are crossed!! |

| I encourage many of my customers to use coconut oil and I demo Nutriva for taste and as a skin softner. Yes, it is priced great! My favorite is popcorn popped in Nutriva’s coconut oil. It will last a long time. I kept it 3 weeks for a trial and it tastes just as great as day one. Also I massage it on the chest when my daughter has her asthma cough or when running a fever the pores are open and her body absorbed it and she felt better in 30 minutes. It has proved it’s awesome antiviral, antifungal and antibacterial qualties. Plus it is superior for energy, so when I feel tired about 2:00 in the afternoon I spread it on toast or let a spoonful disolve in my mouth (siliva will break down the oil) and I feel an awesome energy boost. Set a 30 minute timer and see if you can notice the difference! |

| As well as for occasional cooking, I use Nutiva coconut oil on my skin. Applying a small amount after showering moisturizes dry skin without the worry of unwanted or unfamiliar chemicals going into the skin or body. |
| Addy J. – New York | 2008-12-09 02:54:27 |
| What a great product! It smells just like fresh coconuts, and is great to cook eggs with and lends food a buttery taste. Definitely recommended. |
| Gail B. – Connecticut | 2008-12-09 02:53:48 |
| Everyone seems to love Nutiva, and for good reason. It has the nicest scent, tastes wonderful, and is a great value. We use it on toast, saute and roast vegetables with it, and cook whole grains with it. It’s also great as a substitute for butter in brownies. My daughter has been eating 2-4 tablespoons of it a day (including the amount we use to cook with), and her hair loss has decreased quite a bit! |
| Melody B. – North Carolina | 2008-12-09 02:53:07 |
| We love it! We use Nutiva coconut oil for cooking, in our hair and as a moisturizer for our 2 year old. |

| Melody, I am a Sassoon-trained stylist and was glad to see that you use the Coconut oil in your hair. I have used it on my clients’ hair (I do long to very-long hair styles) for over 15 years, before it was popular with GREAT results. I do long hair, and actually will be opening a salon in Cary, NC. If you live in the area close to the Triangle, Triad or Charlotte, I will give you two free deep-conditioning treatments with Coconut Oil, Monoi Oil, Jojoba Oil and Rosemary for a scalp massage which will work wonders on your hair. IF you like it, feel free to join us when we open up our salon. But the two free scalp massages are yours.. Good luck, Rick |
| Ruth White – Where are you in Cary Rick? | 2010-06-18 08:25:58 |
| Where is your Salon in Cary Rick. I am really interested your coconut hair oil mixture for my hair. I am a African-American trying to transition to my natural roots and am going crazy trying to find a product that will soften my hair and give it shine. Please help. |

| I love this coconut oil. I bake cookies with it regularly and I enjoy stealing a little off the spoon. It has a wonderful coconut taste. |
| PInkRed – baking | 2009-11-14 18:44:04 |
| How do you use it in baking? Is it a 1:1 substitution? Thanks! |

| I read how healthy extra virgin coconut oil can be so I tried this brand and now I’m hooked. It’s pretty much the only oil I use in the kitchen. I’ve read that it helps regulate the thyroid. I’m starting to believe it because I’ve consumed a lot more oil since using this and actually lost weight instead of putting it on!! No wonder I love it! I use it for almost everything, andI even spread coconut oil on toast instead of butter. |

| Can Coconut oil also be used as a dressing for green salads? |
| Sylvia – Coconut Oil | 2009-01-19 06:17:56 |
| Just thought I’d mention to anyone who may be interested in buying Coconut Oil..make sure it states: Cold Pressed!!!!..Not refined… |
| Sylvia – Dressing for salads | 2009-01-19 06:04:34 |
| Yes!!!…but you must eat as soon as you have applyed the Oil…why?…because it solidifies again….I didn’t know this..so when I was about to serve my Salad,to myself and a friend..I noticed while strands..where I had poured the Oil..it was perfectly ok of course…but as for presentation it looks better as like other oils |

| This coconut oil is great stuff. And priced very reasonably at iHerb!! |
| Katie Lee S. – Minnesota | 2008-12-09 02:49:32 |
| Nutiva coconut oil is great stuff for cooking and sautéing meats and vegetables. I strongly recommend virgin coconut oil for the flavor. |
| Evelyn K. – South Dakota | 2008-12-09 02:48:51 |
| Nutiva’s virgin coconut oil is an excellent product. I use it especially for baking and for softening my skin. |
| Janelle O. – New York | 2008-12-09 02:47:21 |
| I love olive oil and I even have my own olive trees that produce oil but it is not good to use for cooking. Nutiva coconut oil is perfect for cooking and it has a much higher heat tolerance than other oils. Definitely a healthy choice and the food will not taste like coconut, just delicious! |
| Ginny T – Kentucky | 2008-12-09 02:44:20 |
| I first had Nutiva Coconut oil when my foodie son-in-law used it in his cooking on a recent trip to their home in Laguna Beach. Wow! There was such difference between the coconut oil that I was used to back at the inn. [I am a Chef in an upscale Bed and Breakfast]. My jar of odorless and tasteless oil has sat unused. There is no simply no comparison to the flavor and aroma of this excellent coconut oil. One large jar of Nutiva Coconut Oil has gone fast, so tonight I ordered more. |
| Phil K – New York | 2008-12-09 02:43:34 |
| I’ve tried so many coconut oil products! Most were OK but didn’t have any coconut taste, a few were a bit musty and one was a definite miss. I love the fresh coconut flavor of Nutiva, light enough so that you don’t notice it where you don’t want it, but strong enough if I use it straight, as I frequently do. This is undoubtedly my favorite and the only fat I use (except for in salad, because the coconut oil sets at salad temperature. I’ve combined coconut with olive oil, and that works fine when the salad is not ice cold) |
| Melissa T – Texas | 2008-12-09 02:42:54 |
| M-m-m-m-m Delicious… give it a try… you’ll like it. Thanks to Nutiva, you can’t beat the value. |
| Walter S – Utah | 2008-12-09 02:42:11 |
| We decided to try this coconut oil since our friend recommended it highly. She purchases it by the case. |
| Sally D – Massachusetts | 2008-12-09 02:09:38 |
| I’ve only used 2 coconut oils, Nutiva and Nature’s Way. I prefer Nutiva’s light taste – it tastes more like sweet butter, without an overpowering coconut taste. I spread it on toast, and use it for baking and sauteeing – it is the perfect substitute for butter. It also makes my skin very soft. Of all the coconut oils, Nutiva is the best value! |
| John F – Georgia | 2008-12-09 02:07:47 |
| Organic coconut oil tends to be quite expensive, especially since I use so much of it. Nutiva’s coconut oil is the best value I’ve found. The quality of this coconut oil, in my experience, is excellent. You won’t go wrong with Nutiva! |
| Bernard M – Wisconsin | 2008-12-09 02:06:42 |
| This is excellent coconut oil. I use virgin coconut oil for baking, greasing pans, frying and in any recipe that calls for oil. When it is in its solid form (under 76 degrees), I can easily measure how much I need and melt it and let it cool.. It’s a healthy way to make cakes, brownies, pies. |
| Julie V – Arizona | 2008-12-09 02:05:57 |
| This is definitely the best coconut oil I’ve found – it’s organic and 1st-pressed (extra virgin), and better yet, is made from fresh coconut flesh (copra). The other virgin coconut oils I’ve investigated are made from dried-out copras (which tend to go moldy). And the price per ounce is the best too. The taste is simply beyond compare. |
| John freeson – Satisfied | 2009-04-02 23:56:32 |
| I have been to many other web sites for coconut oil and this one looks by far the best and most secure…I may end up being a regular customer. |
| Joanie Green – Loyal Nutiva User | 2009-09-09 21:41:45 |
| I have been using Nutiva organic extra virgin coconut oil for years. I choose Nutiva over other brands for many reasons: 1. Because I love to cook a variety of ethnic fare and want everything that leaves my kitchen to be healthy and taste GREAT without hindering the flavor of the recepies. 2. Because I trust Nutiva as a company that nourishes not only people but protects the planet using non GMO/organic foods. 1% of sales is donated to sustainable agriculture! 3. I happen to be 50 years old people guess my age at 32-35… my secret? Nutiva Extra Virgin Coconut Oil on my hair once a week and on my skin daily. (Makes an excellent eye make- up remover too! |

| I’m in my 50′s too. I “touch-up” my roots with color every 6-8 weeks. I would like to use this on my hair to restore its lost shine but I’ve been told that oils on color are not good. Any suggestions? THANKS! |
| Deb – color treated hair | 2010-03-29 06:23:54 |
| I have mixed jojoba oil with conditioner for colored treated hair. My hair felt great and looked great but it the oil did seem to strip the color somewhat since the color didn’t last as long. A hair stylist wrote a comment on this site that he used Coconut Oil, Monoi Oil and Jojoba Oil as a scalp treatment and it really make the hair feet great, but he doesn’t say anything about coloring issues. |

| I am so excited to have this product. I have been using it on my hair and skin, and can’t wait to use it to make healthy dessert alternatives. Thanks for making a great product! |
